batman: I don't get it

I don't see what the fascination is with the movie, in fact I think I am pretty much over the whole superhero genre for a while (with the exception of Hancock) and this one in particular has just grown into one of those things now where the hype has gotten so big that actually seeing the movie will change nothing for me. If anything the vaccum is so big I can only be disappointed and empty feeling upon seeing it. I hate blockbuster hits like this sincerely I do, and it's not that I take my job as contrarian seriously I think I just honest just get irritable from the mental repetitive stress of: "SO COOL YOU HAVE GOT TO SEE THIS MOVIE!!!" or "OMG YOU STILL HAVEN'T SEEN IT???!?!".... ugh, f^#%in' moooo already, seriously show me to the slaughter house if I can just hearing about this crap.

Just as bad is if you do see it about mid-hype and you aren't that impressed you still have to listen to the incredulous high pitched "WHOAH? YOU DIDN"T LIKE IT THAT MUCH???!!?!?" I want to scientifically study the part of the brain that gets lit up when people do that - I don't know that they should develop a drug to treat it as much as induce it for things like taking the garbage out and just generally being a decent citizen for the world. You know we could avert war and be like "OMG THAT WAS THE ABSOLUTE BEST WAR THAT NEVER HAPPENED!!! WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT WAS JUST ANOTHER SEPTEMBER!!!"
